Robin’s Egg Blue
I moved this nest from a camellia we cut down two years ago and put it in the rhododendron by the front steps. That year a Stellar’s jay repurposed it. Last spring it was empty after I pruned the rhody, removing its cover. Now, in spite of exposure, Mama Robin has moved in.

O, so cool. Love how you tracked this life around you…repurposed and all. I haven’t discovered any bird nests in my yard/surrounding trees as of yet. There may be too much activity around.

Even the birds are into repurposing! I guess nest builders have always been into recycling.
