Six Days Away from the Garden
One almost broccoli
Two fat slugs
Three tomatoes – eaten*
Four stalks of rhubarb
A fistful of chard
Six orange beets
A passel of peas
Eight yellow squash blossoms
Scads of purple flowers
A bushel of bean blooms
Eleven juicy strawberries
Twelve little basil leaves…
And fifteen enormous mole hills.

Yes, the bounty is just beginning. And it should be amazing this year with all this sunshine! I love hearing about your garden – you are an inspiration.

I can’t quite if this is good news, bad news, or neutral news 🙂

Good! Except for the slug and moles. So I suppose it is mixed news.

As is usual, good news and bad news from the garden–but on the whole, it sounds like a bountiful harvest.
