Resurrection can happen at home too, as I stand beside my mother in our imperfection. Sometimes I wish for the Hallelujah Chorus, but as I learn to accept that I can’t go back to the times before I knew that life and human love is not perfect, as I continue to release the longed for relationship that isn’t going to happen, and as I leave the door open for what can be, my eyes open to the beauty that is. Promise!
