The kitchen in this house was my mother’s fiefdom for 56 years. It is there I learned to squish hamburger and Campbell’s tomato soup with my hands (after supervised washing) in the green crockery bowl to make meatloaf. It’s there I mashed the bananas in the green crockery bowl for banana bread. It’s there I stirred the chocolate chips into the batter in the green crockery bowl and dropped spoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
