I love the juxtaposition of the snow and the moss in the trees! This image is representative of how I’m feeling this year…yet seeing that I no longer feel that I’m “In the Bleak Mid Winter” because even now on the shortest day (and longest night) there are glimpses of green and life and hope if one but takes a moment to look.

Thank you, Gheeta. “In the Bleak Mid-Winter” is actually one of my favorite Christmas carols. Somehow I don’t mind the dark. I like the opportunity to turn inward and see what is there. Long days and the exuberance of summer is only possible for me because of this season. Another perspective. xoxo Gretchen
