I am a Pacific Northwest native transplanted to the southeast for 36 years. In 2012, I returned to my childhood home and fell in love with this corner of the country again. I am a grandmother, a storywriter, a teacher, an attention payer, a hiker, and a back roads wanderer. Check out my website (and my memoir) at www.gretchenstaebler.com.

Oh man, those colors, with the sky? Gorgeous. Since I am lagging on getting out anywhere at all, I’m happy for the photos.

I am lagging too. Yesterday I had the time wrong for my haircut and missed my appointment. I rescheduled for today, rather than next Wednesday, in hopes that next Wednesday it might not rain. And then the forecast for today changed. So now I can’t go on an adventure today. 😣

Thanks for the early spring reconnaissance mission! Looks like joyful enthusiasm for a sunny day!

Indeed. And right after a hail storm. Apparently mid-May is considered early spring in these parts. I’ll stop putting a camas reminder on my calendar for early April.
